Odegaard Penalty Secures Win for Gunners as Tomiyasu Sees Red

Arsenal Extend Lead at Top of Premier League with Comfortable Victory Over Managerless Palace

Arsenal reignited their Premier League title challenge by thrashing struggling Crystal Palace at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners took the lead in the 20th minute when Bukayo Saka was brought down in the area by Marc Guehi. Martin Odegaard stepped up to convert the penalty, sending Vicente Guaita the wrong way.

Arsenal doubled their lead in the 58th minute through Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian forward latched onto a loose ball in the Palace area and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.

Takehiro Tomiyasu was sent off for Arsenal in the 65th minute for a second bookable offense. However, the Gunners held on to secure a comfortable victory.

The win moved Arsenal six points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. City have a game in hand, but Arsenal now have a real chance of winning their first league title since 2004.
